Remembering Those Who Have Gone Before

Robert “Mike” McCoy, age 71 a native of Los Angeles, and a former resident of Fresno for 25 years passed away in Redwood City on April 12, 2012 where he lived the last three years.

Mike was born on June 12, 1940. He attended Madera High School and graduated in the class of 1957.

A commercial airline pilot for 35 years, he also served as a pilot in the California Air National Guard at their 144th Fighter Wing in Fresno. He later moved to Reno for 15 years.

Mike is survived by his son Sam and wife Annette of Seaside, his daughter Kerith and husband Michael Lisi of San Carlos, his sister Sammye Sawyer of Turlock and his 3 grandchildren Luke, Joshua and Makaya. He also leaves behind his niece Beth and husband Kent Hysell and their children Katey, Janene and Amanda and nephew Robbie.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Jay Chapel, 1121 Roberts Avenue in Madera, California.

Interment and military honors will follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery also in Madera.
