Roland Siegmund Noack, born April 15, 1929, a resident of Oakdale, CA, passed away on January 21, 2016. Roland was an active member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church community in Modesto, CA. He served as a Lector at daily mass.
Originally from Neustadt, Saxony in Germany, Roland moved to the United States in 1952. Roland reunited with his father’s family in Chicago, IL. Roland then enlisted in the United States Air Force and began his career as a pilot. For many years he worked for Pan American Airlines, based out of San Francisco, where he worked until retirement. His favorite places to travel included Hong Kong and Manila.
Roland is survived by his wife Marimel Noack; his daughters Sandra, Marlisa, Tamara, and Melissa; his grandchildren Pascal, Silvana, Miranda, Taylor, Jordyn, Dylan, Madison, and Nickolas; and his brothers Wolfram and Ernst.
Rosary and viewing will be on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA. Funeral mass is on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at 9:30 am, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Road, Modesto, CA. Final committal will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery immediately following the mass.
